Award-winning actress Anne Hathaway discovered her passion for the arts at an early age. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was raised by her father, a lawyer, and her mother, a stage actress. At just eight years old, Hathaway watched her mother perform as Fantine in the national tour of Les Misérables, inspiring her own interest in acting. Although she wanted to pursue a career in acting from a young age, her parents were hesitant about introducing her to the industry too soon.
